As a photographer, film camera collector and lifetime tinkerer, I often had a difficult time finding a camera that I was completely in love with. If I wanted to shoot infrared or monochrome, I had to spend thousands to get a camera modified or take out a mortgage on a Leica. If I wanted a new software feature on the camera, I had to pray that the manufacturer would release a software update or buy a new model. And if I broke a component, I had to hope that it could be repaired without costing more than a new camera.
